Your Standley Lake Gators Varsity Football team took on the  George Washington Patriots (2-7, 1-3) at the NAAC on 11/3/17 in a conference matchup. The Gators scored first with a Alex France pass to Logan Heeren for 11 yards. In the 2nd quarter, France threw a great 31 yard pass to Tyler Williams. Weston Short kicked the PAT. Brady Kizer ran for a 5 yards TD run. The Patriots blocked the PAT attempt. In the 3rd quarter, the Patriots scored a TD, and Draven Rabideau ran for a 60 yards TD. In the 4th quarter, Draven Rabideau ran for a 8 yard TD, and Weston Short kicked the PAT. QB Alex France went 4-7 for 59 yards for 2 TDs and 1 INT. In the rushing dominated win, the Gators ran for 328 yards led by Draven Rabideau who ran 9 times for 90 yards and 2 TDs. Logan Heeren ran 11 times for 86 yards. Alec Halbeisen rushed 6 times for 38 yards. Tyler Williams caught one pass for 31 yards, and Logan Heeren and Jason Van caught a pass each for 11 yards. Logan Heeren and Tyler Williams led the Gators with 4 tackles each. Ryan Biller, Brady Kizer, Matt Estrada, Zach Johnstone, and Jaren Cosby each added 3 tackles.  Ryan BillerLogan Heeren, Justin Baker, Jaren Cosby, and Zach Johnstone had a sack. Ryan Biller and Brady Kizer each recovered a fumble.

Also the Gator JV Football team beat Dakota Ridge 25-7 in a non-conference match. Their record improves to 6-3 (1-2).

Your Standley Lake Gators Varsity Football team took on the Denver South Rebels (4-4, 2-2) away on 10/27/17 away at All City Stadium in a non-conference matchup. The Gators scored first with a Brady Kizer sack and a safety in the 3rd quarter. Kizer scored on a 25 yard for a touchdown, and Weston Short converted the PAT. In the 4th quarter, Short kicked a 20 yard field goal. The Gators held the Rebels scoreless. In the rushing dominated win, the Gators ran for 321 yards led by Ty Webber who ran 12 times for 101 yards. Alex France carried 11 times for 63 yards, Brady Kizer rushed for 5 carries, 60 yards, and a TD, and Jason Van added 10 rushes for 47 yards. The Patriots forced 5 fumbles. Zach Johnstone led the Gators with 9 tackles, Ryan Biller added 8 tackles, and Brady Kizer, Draven Rabideau, and Justin Baker each contributed 5 tackles. Justin Baker and Brady Kizer had two and one sacks.

Your Standley Lake Gators Varsity Football team took on the Thornton Trojans (0-6) away at Five Star Stadium on 10/6/17 in a conference matchup.

The Gators scored first with a Ty Webber 84 yard kickoff return burst, and Alec Halbeisen scored on a 5 yard TD run, and the Gators led 13-0 at halftime. In the 3rd quarter, Justin Baker returned a 26 yard fumble recovery for a TD, Ty Webber scored on a 30 yard run, Alex France completed a 2 point conversion to Tyler Williams, and the Gators got a final TD from Alex France on a 41 yard pass to Tyler Williams. The Trojans put up 8 points in the 4th quarter.

In the win, QB Alex France passed 4-4 for 60 yards and a TD, carried 5 times for 14 yards. Ty Webber ran 5 times for 50 yards for a TD. Alex Halbeisen rushed 3 times for 24 yards and a TD, and Jake O'Neil rushed 3 times for 21 yards. Ty Williams caught 3 passes for 58 yards and a TD. The Gators fumbled 3 times. Ryan Biller led the Gators with 8 tackles, Brady Kizer added 6 tackles, and Jacob Estrada, M. Carpentier, and Justin Baker each contributed 5 tackles. Brady Kizer led the Gators 9 sack fest with 3 sacks, and Justin Baker & Draven Rabideau added a pair of sacks. Logan Heeren added an interception. Draven Rabideau and Justin Baker each recovered a sack. Weston Short kicked a PAT, and Tyler Williams had a 2 point conversion.

The Gators scored first with a Ty Webber sprint up the sideline, followed with a 42 yard burst, capped the Gators' half with another 33 yard rush for a TD, and the Gators led 20-8 at halftime. The Rams put up 13 points in the 4th quarter but were stopped just short trying to convert a 2 point conversion with less than a minute to play. In the win, QB Alex France passed 2-5 for 55 yards and a TD, carried 15 times for 29 yards. Ty Webber ran 12 times for 208 yards for 3 TDs and caught a 46 yard pass. Zach Johnstone led the Gators with 10 tackles, Ryan Biller added 9 tackles, and Logan Herren and Matt Estrada each contributed 8 tackles. Justin Baker and M. Carpentier each had a sack. Brady Kizer added an interception. Weston Short kicked a 22 yard field goal and went 3-4 on PATs.

Your Varsity Standley Lake Football team took on the Liberty Lancers (0-4) in Colorado Springs on 9/14/17.

The Lancers took a 21-13 lead after the 1st quarter and increased it to 28-13 at halftime. The Gators came back strong in the 2nd half holding the Lancers to only 7 2nd half points to win 42-35. Alex France went 5-8 for 90 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT, ran for 132 yards on 12 carries with 1 TD. Ty Webber ran for 135 yards on 17 carries with 1 TD and longest run of 41 yards. Jason Van added 73 yards on 13 carries and had 1 TD. Tyler Williams had 2 receptions for 57 yards, Alex Halbeisen caught a 7 yard TD pass. The Gators ran for 433 yards. Ryan Biller led the Gators with 11 tackles and 2 sacks, Brady Kizer had 10 tackles, and Zach Johnstone added 8 tackles. Mickey Garcia added a sack. Logan Heeren had 2 interceptions, and Zach Johnstone and M. Carpentier each recovered a fumble. Jackson Dowis went 4-5 in PATs.
