To help clarify how you get funds from SLAB, here is a brief overview.

There are 2 types of funds available through SLAB. One type is the sport specific funds (e.g.football).  The other is the general funds (SLAB).

To obtain sport specific funds, you can have the coach fill out a basic, downloadable check request form or the team rep can fill out the form and the coach send an email authorizing the team rep to get these funds.  Then, you submit this form to the SLAB Treasurer who issues a check (requiring 2 SLAB Board members signatures).

Alternatively, if you wish to apply for General Funds from SLAB, you can fill out a longer, downloadable SLAB Funds Request form.  Then, you submit this form to the SLAB Treasurer who issues a check (requiring 2 SLAB Board members signatures) if the request is approved by the SLAB Board.

Typically, the General Funds are used for special occasions or items that may benefit multiple sports (e.g. an ice machine).
