The Varsity Softball team took on the Conifer Lobos at Standley Lake. The Gators got started with a 1-2-3 top of the 1st. Madi Schmidt (R, 2BB, SB) walked and stole 2nd. Julia Henderson laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance Schmidt to 3rd, and Ana Clouse drove Schmidt in with a sacrifice fly.
Samii Garcia blasted a homer to dead center to make it 2-0. The Lobos struck back with a single, stolen base, hit batsman, error, and a single to get it to 2-1. In the bottom of the 4th, Hannah Rose crushed homerun to right to make it 3-1. In the 5th, the Lobos closed it to 3-2 with a walk and double. In the bottom of the 6th, the Gators got going with a triple by Clouse (1-2, sac, R, RBI). Samii Garcia (1-2, HR, RBI, SB) was hit by a pitch and stole 2nd. Hannah Rose (1-1, 2BB, HR, RBI) walked to load the bases. Myranda Thrash (sac, RBI) drove in Clouse with a sacrifice fly. Rachel Couture (1-3, RBI) drove in Garcia with a single. Miya Vasquez (1-3, RBI) closed out the Gators scoring with a single to drive in courtesy runner, Jackie Paik. In the top of the 7th, the Lobos threatened loading the bases with 2 walks and a single. Pitcher Hannah Rose (2R, 5H, 5BB, 10K - season high) induced a flyball to right field where Emily Williamson made a running catch to seal the victory 6-2. The Gators improve to 3-14, 2-3 in the league.

The Varsity Softball team took on the Evergreen Cougars at home for Gators' senior game. The Gators blasted ahead in a eventful bottom of the 1st inning. Senior Madi Schmidt led off with a hit batsman, senior Julia Henderson got her to 2nd with a sacrifice. Senior Ana Clouse blasted a 2-run homerun to left field.
Senior Samii Garcia walked. Rachel Couture singled to right. Miya Vasquez (1-4, RBI, R) drove in Garcia with a single. Senior Emily Williamson (1-3, R) singled to load the bases.
Senior Siara McCain drove in courtesy runner Jackie Paik (R) and Vasquez with a double.
Constance Sisneros (RBI) drove in Williamson with a sacrifice fly to right field to make it 6-0. In the top of the 2nd, the Cougars came to life with a pair of singles. They took advantage of an error with a 2-run double and an RBI single to close it to 6-3. In the bottom of the 2nd, Julia Henderson got aboard with a single.
Clouse hit into a fielder's choice, Garcia advanted her with a single and took 2nd on the unsuccessful throw to 3rd. Couture drove in Clouse with a sacrifice fly to make it 7-3. In the top of the 3rd, the Cougars roared back with a double, followed by 3 singles. Another single closed the score 7-6. A terrific play by first baseman, Samii Garcia on a hot shot down the line resulted in a double play to stop the rally. In the bottom of the 3rd, the McCain doubled but was stranded at 2nd. In the top of the 4th, took advantage of another Gator error followed by a 2-run blast to right field to take the lead 8-7. In the bottom of the 4th, the Gators got even with a Clouse double and a Couture RBI single. In the top of the 6th, the Cougars threatened with a single, wild pitch, unsuccessful fielder's choice, and stolen base. With runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs, right field Siara McCain (2-3, 2 2B, 2RBI, R) made a great catch and threw home to catcher Rachel Couture (2-4, SF, 2RBI) who made a terrific tag of the Cougar runner trying to tag from 3rd for a double play. In the bottom of the 6th, the Schmidt (2R, HBP, BB) led off with walk, Henderson (1-4, 2 sac, SB) raced up the line after a sacrifice bunt resulting in an error. Clouse (3-4, HR, 2B, 4R, 2 RBI) reached on a single. Then Garcia (2-4. 2B. BB. 3RBI, R) smacked a deep drive to right-center to clear the bases and give the Gators a 11-8 lead to the delight of the Gator faithful.
In the top of the 7th, the Gators pitcher Tiffany Vigil got the Cougars to go down 1-2-3 with infield grounders to give the Gators the 11-8 win.
The Gators finish their season 5-14, 4-5 in the league.

The Varsity Softball team took on the Arvada Bulldogs away for their senior game. The Gators blasted ahead in a eventful 1st inning. Madi Schmidt led off with a double, advanced to third by Julia Henderson with a sacrifice, and then scored on a wild pitch. Ana Clouse walked, stole 2nd, advanced on a wild pitch, and stole home. Samii Garcia followed with a walk and stolen base, and Rachel Couture drove her in with an RBI.
Miya Vasquez kept it going with a double. Emily Williamson (1-3, BB, SB, RBI, 2 R) walked, and both scored on a combo of E6 and E3 errors. Schmidt batted again hitting another double. The Gators played efficiently as got the Bulldogs in order. In the 2nd, Clouse smashed a triple to right field and scored on a sacrifice fly to center by Garcia. Vasquez (2-2, R, SB) got another double. The Bulldogs eked out a walk but were unable to score in the bottom of the 2nd. In the 3rd, Siara McCain reached on an E4 error, but she was tagged out at the plate. Schmidt (2-3, 2 2B, 2R, SB) reached on a walk, stole second, and scored on a E1 throwing error. In the bottom of the 3rd, pitcher Constance Sisneros struck out the side. In the 4th, Garcia (2-4, sac, BB, RBI, R, 2SB) singled, advanced on a wild pitch, but she was tagged out at the plate in a notable collision. Couture (2-4, RBI) got a single, and advanced on a throw to home. McCain (1-3, R, SB) singled, and Sisneros (1-3, 3B, 2RBI) knocked both in with a triple. In the bottom of the 4th, the Gators defense kept the Bulldogs to 3 plate appearances. In the 5th, the Gators got another run on a single by Clouse (2-3, BB, 2B, 3B, 3 R, 2SB) , who advanced on a groundout, and scored on a E3 error. In the bottom of the 5th, the Bulldogs broke up the no hitter with a signle, but Sisneros (9K) shut them down with a comebacker and a strikeout. The Gators improve to 4-14, 3-5 in the league.

The JV Softball team took on the Ralston Valley Mustangs at Arvada West's JV Softball Tournament at Youth Memorial Fields. The Gators took advantage of a couple of Mustang errors plating Jackie Paik before Montana Odgers belted a double. Darian Hausman followed with an RBI triple off the wall in left field. Chantelle Gordy-George reached on a dropped 3rd strike and throwing error that plated Hausman. Kylie Ricci reached on an error which also scored Gordy-George to make it 4-0. In the 2nd, the Gators Taylor Zangari reached on another error. Hausman drove her in with a double
and scored on a wild pitch. Gordy-George and Ricci walked loading the bases for Taylor VanDyke who smashed a 2 RBI double to make it 8-0. In the 3rd, the Gators blew it open as Abby Sisk, Jackie Paik, and Odgers (1-2, 2R, SB) walked. Darian Hausman reached on a Mustang error. Gordy-George (1-2, 2B, 2BB, 4 R, SB) smashed a 2 RBI double. Kylie Ricci reached on an unsuccessful fielder's choice, VanDyke walked, Kaitlyn Starnes and Sisk (R) reached on errors, and Paik (1-3, BB, RBI, 2 R, SB) got an RBI single to make it 15-0. In the 4th, the Gators Hausman (2-4, 2 RBI, 4 R) reached on an error, Gordy-George walked, Ricci (2 SB, 2R) reached on another error, and VanDyke knocked in the Gators 17th run. In the bottom of the 4th, the Mustangs got a walk, 2 singles, and reached on an error to score three before pitcher Taylor VanDyke (3R, 3H, 5 K) closed the game with a pair of strikeouts to end it 17-3. The Gators improve to 3-12, 1-3 in the league.

Your JV Softball team took on the Green Mountain Rams in the league opener. In the 1st, the Rams scored on a walk, error and single. In the bottom of the 1st, the Gators plated 6 with Taylor Zangari starting it off with a single. Taylor VanDyke was hit by a pitch, Chantell Gordy-George got an RBI single. Kaitlyn Startnes singled, Montana Odgers reached on a flyball to center mishandled by the Rams. Abby Sisk, Jackie Paik, and Myranda Thrash walked and it was 6-1. In the top of the 2nd, Taylor VanDyke got her 3rd and 4th strikeouts to help keep the Rams from answering. In the bottom of the 2nd, Kaitlyn Barnes blasted a triple to left to bring in Darian Hausman and Chantelle Gordy-George. Abby Sisk drove in Montana Odgers who had walked with a productive groundout, and it was 10-1. In the bottom of the 3rd, the Gators got a single by Myranda Thrash, and then 8 of the next 9 batters walked helping to plate 7 more. Taylor VanDyke closed out the 4th inducing a flyball corralled by Chantelle Gordy-George and her 6th and 7th strikeouts to seal the win. Freshman pitcher, Taylor VanDyke notched her 1st JV win with a solid performance surrending only 1 run on 1 hit. The Gators record goes to 1-4, 1-0 in the league.
