The Junior Varisity Boys ran their final fall meet on Monday in the Trailblazer Overland Freshmand & Softmore meets.
Standley Lake came in fourth place beating out Cherry Creek and Centauras high schools.
Freshman runners were lead by Gordon Saur with a time of 21:41. Cody Dewitt was right beheind at 21:46. The remainder of the team includs Luke Larson (22:10), Ben Salvo (22:23), Nathaniel Kregar (PR time of 23:01) and Kameron Liao (23:22).
The only runner to particiapte in the Softmore race was Gabe Bosse who came in with a time of 32:3.
All remaining softmores and freshman did not run in preparation of the Regional 4A-Section 3 race on Friday.
Congratulations to all the JV boys this year as they are provide an exiting base for SLHS cross county teams for the next three to four years.

Your Gators scored early, then held on to win 1-0 against a tough Wheat Ridge team, Tuesday night at Lakewood Memorial Field. The lone goal was scored by Kyle Iftodi ('16). Keeper Kevin Griebel ('16) put up a clean sheet for the Gators. The Gators end the season 5-4 in the league, 9-6 overall. Your Gators will find out later this week if they will move into post-season play.

Trevor Smith earned All Conference-2nd team in the Jeffco 4A League meet on Friday 10/10 with a time of 17:37. Ryan Seberg was awarded All Conference-Honorable Mention coming in 18th with a season best time of 17:59. Strong Varsity performances were also achieved from Evan Luebbert (19:18), Eli Student (19:20), Kendall Kinnard (19:21), Jared Linford (19:27), and Lukas Klarich (19:41).
Junior Varsity results included Logan Michalicek (19:34), Duncan Tillman (PR-20:11), Ben Salvo (20:23), Robbie Nelson (21:18), Cody Dewitt (21:19), Luke Larson (21:25), Nathanial Kregar (PR-21:33), Gordon Saur (21:48), Kameron Liao (21:58), and Gabe Bosse (tied PR at 27:01).
SLHS Varisity Boys Cross County stands in 6th place in Regional rankings for this Friday's 10/17 meet at Bear Valley Park. Teams to beat include North Denver and Holly Family in order to move on to the state level.

Girl's cross country placed 7th in a highly competitive field at the Jefferson Country 4A League Meet. The girls had to battle 4A's #4 Wheat Ridge, # 5 Evergreen, #10 Green Mountain, #11 Valor Christian, #17 Golden and #22 D'Evelyn. With so many of the top 4A teams in the state competing, the SLHS girls showed a respectable finish. This year, the girl's 4A race was much more competitve than the 5A field.
Emma Abernethy '17 led the way with a 14th place finish in 20:18. This earned her Second Team All Conference honors. Anna Nelson '17 followed with a 21:08 for 30th. The quartet of varsity freshmen followed with Emma Smith (42nd- 22:03), Caitlin Adams (43rd- 22:06), Mone Mondragon (53rd- 22:53), and Veronica Petrillo (61st- 24:38). Sophomore Hayley Davis was the final runner with a 27:07 for 62nd.
The girl's head to Bear Valley Regional Park this Friday to compete in the 4A Region 3 regionals.

SCORE UPDATE FOR OCT. 13-OCT. 19:
At the 4A Region 3 Cross Country Regionals, Anna Nelson '17 got 15th with a PR 20:34 and with 95 points (low score wins in XC) the entire Standley Lake team qualified for State!
Trevor Smith, Sophomore took thirteen place in the Regional 4A Region 3 cross country meet on Saturday, Oct. 17 and is headed to state.
JV Men's XC final meet in the Trailblazer Overland meets came in 4th place. Freshman runner were lead by Gordon Saur with a time of 21:41.
Men's Varsity Soccer defeated Wheat Ridge 1-0.
Football vs. Golden: Varsity (W 41-13), JV (W 25-6), Freshman (L).
